When engaged citizens notices social issues, they often want nothing more than to abolish them. But sometimes their best intentions can have negative outcomes. The best way to avoid this paradox is not only becoming an ally, but knowing the difference between a bad ally and a good ally. Problems can be best approached with solidarity, but the goal is to help, not hinder, a cause. There can be an important place for allies in these situations: as supporters and advocates. Individuals from all walks or life will find this session useful to finding their role in these spaces.
