Meghan is in her fourth year of her undergraduate degree in the Faculty of Arts. She started her time at the U of A working towards a combined French and Spanish Languages major and physics minor. After two years, however, she changed her degree to a major in political science and a minor in French. She credits her volunteer work with Amnesty International as the reason for her decision to make this change. She is currently also in her first year of the Peter Lougheed Leadership College and working on a certificate in International Learning and a certificate in Globalization and Governance. She is the President of the U of A chapter for Amnesty International, an Amnesty fieldworker for the province and the Amnesty International Chairwoman for the Fieldworker Activism Committee of Canada.
